BENTON -- Kimberly E. Burford of Thomas W. Kelly High School at Benton has been named a commended student in the 1993 National Merit Scholarship Program.
About 35,000 commended students throughout the nation are being honored for their performance in the 1991 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitute Test, National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Commended students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1 million program entrants, but they will not continue in the 1993 competition for Merit Scholarships.
