Sgt. Tony Sanders says the bodies could have been lying where they were dumped for as long as a month. He says detectives believe the victims were killed elsewhere and taken to the wooded dumping site near the Blue River.

A city services worker found the first body Saturday morning while helping with an annual river cleanup. Police later recovered the other two bodies.
