KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City police say the death of a 2-year-old boy found not breathing at an Olathe, Kan., home was a homicide.

Police Thursday said the medical examiner ruled that Keyaun James of Olathe died of blunt force trauma. Detectives from Kansas City and Olathe police met Wednesday to determine where the boy died.

No suspects were in custody Thursday.

Officers found the boy in an Olathe apartment Tuesday, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police said the boy had been in Olathe and Kansas City in the temporary care of a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old juvenile.
