Kaci Thompson is in no short supply of inspiration.

Working at the American Cancer Society, she says, "I see cancer survivors every day who have a hunger to beat their illness, never give up, never feel sorry for themselves."

For Thompson, organizing volunteers, building relationships in the community, and working to raise money are continuous challenges. That her work, and the work of her dedicated volunteers, may aid in someone's fight against cancer or even lead to an eventual cure motivates Thompson and helps her to motivate others.

"I love the dynamics of my job," she says, "every single day is a different adventure."
