"Serving as a junior volunteer is an excellent way for high-school students to find out about the many types of careers available in the health care field," said Bonnie Perdue of the St. Francis volunteer services office.

"Our junior volunteers gain valuable insights into these career opportunities, which often helps them make some decisions about their own futures. They also provide a much-needed service to the medical center and its patients."

To learn more about the program, or to arrange a personal interview, call the volunteer services office at 339-6166.
