JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS RECEIVE HONORS

Students at Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School received honors at the school's annual awards ceremony May 24.

Annise Maguire received the special service award.

Traci Taylor received the Spirit of Community Inspiration Award for her volunteer work at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Justin Shelby and Beth Bishop received American Legion Awards. Megan Edmonds received the Paul Schnare Spirit Award. Ed Roeger received the DAR Award.

Earning social studies awards were Natalie McCormack, Wes Brewer, Annise Maguire, Nathan Skinner, Donyang Zhang and Amos Pridemore.

Earning math awards were D.J. Trapp, Tariq Robie, Jonathan Anderson, Adam Rigg, Kirvy Holloway, Eric Wessel and Saira Kahn.

Earning English awards were Stephanie Chen, Kelley Green, Jordan Bingham, Myka Bohnsack, Kim Aslinger, Annise Maguire and Jonathan Anderson.

Earning science awards were Michael Yingling, Angie Hoffman, Alex Hoffman, Alex Parsons, Leah Hill, Jennifer Taylor, Sarah Belcher and Jonathan Anderson.

Earning reading awards were Myra Patnou, Celeste Thomas and Linda Lam.

Earning foreign language awards were Beth Bishop, Latin I; Jonathan Anderson, Latin II; Sarah Little and Akiko Hirao, French I; Juli Dahiya, French II; Lindsey Francis and Michael Yingling, Spanish I; Ruth Bechtold, Spanish II.
