CASSVILLE, Mo. (AP) -- A judge has agreed to move the trial of one of the men charged with raping and killing a 9-year-old southwest Missouri girl.

Barry County Judge Robert Wiley ruled Wednesday that Christopher Collings will be tried in Phelps County in the November 2007 death of Rowan Ford of Stella.

The trial for the girl's stepfather, David Spears, was moved to Pulaski County. Both men have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, forcible rape and statutory rape. They face the death penalty if convicted.

Ford disappeared from her home in the small Newton County town while her mother was working a night shift. An intensive weeklong search ended when her body was found in a cave about 10 miles away in neighboring McDonald County.
