FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Charges have been dismissed against a Madison County deputy accused of stealing from police evidence lockers.
Madison County judge on Friday dismissed charges against Faron Guinn, 42, of Fredericktown, because of lack of evidence.
Guinn had been charged in June with four counts of felony stealing and one misdemeanor stealing charge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
He was accused of stealing firearms from local police evidence lockers.
Guinn was a Fredericktown police officer before joining the sheriff's department. The crimes were alleged to have taken place when he was with the Fredericktown department.
