CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Steve Stewart has joined KFVS-12 here. Mike Beecher, news director, announced Stewart's position as news reporter/anchor. Prior to joining KFVS, Stewart was a reporter/anchor for WSIL-TV at Carterville for three years. He has also worked as a reporter/anchor at KSTF-TV in Scottsbluff, Neb. He previously served as a baseball and soccer league announcer.
Stewart is a native of Glendale, Mo., and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Broadcast News from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
KFVS-TV is a CBS-affiliated station.
