JOHNSTON TO SCHOLARS ACADEMY

Patrick Johnston, a sophomore at Scott City High School, has been selected to attend the Missouri Scholars Academy this summer at the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.

Students are selected for the program based on academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, test scores, teacher recommendations, and a written essay. During the three-week program, students participate in accelerated learning activities in two chosen fields of study.

Johnston is the son of Tim and Linda Johnston of Scott City. He is a member of National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, pep club, science club and Key club. He also is a member of the baseball and football teams.
