Cape Girardeau police are investigating a burglary at J.C. Penney. Police spokesman Jason Selzer said a suspect forced open a side door to the store, ran in and stole jewelry from a jewelry case around 4 a.m. Saturday. The suspect was in and out of the store in about two minutes, he said. Police are waiting for the store to do an inventory to get an accurate account of the specific jewelry that was taken. No one is in custody and a suspect has not been identified.
