The Marble Hill Republican plans to introduce a resolution in the Missouri General Assembly that urges Congress to act on U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson's measure to set in motion efforts to amend the Constitution. Emerson's legislation has been languishing in a House committee.

Beginning last week, Jetton has been holding news conferences at Southeast Missouri high schools to call attention to the issue.
