JENNINGS, Mo. (AP) -- Teachers in the Jennings School District in St. Louis County have voted "no confidence" in the school board over concerns about teacher pay cuts.

Several teachers on Monday staged an informal picket in front of the school board offices.

KSDK-TV reports that teachers say that while their union agreed to a 2 percent salary cut, central office salaries remain high and some administrators got raises.

Board officials say Jennings teachers remain among the highest paid in the state. And they say that while some districts are cutting many teaching jobs, Jennings is laying off only four teachers.

Teachers say they tried to get their concerns on the board meeting agenda, but were unsuccessful. The next meeting is in August.
