JCPENNEY, REVLON TEAM ON PROMOTION

JCPenney and Revlon will launch new retail operations The Beauty Stop in 420 JCPenney stores, including the store at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau, in November.

"Working with our experienced partner at Revlon, we developed a new idea for a new area for the sale of prestige products," said James L. Hailey, president of the woman's division at JCPenney Co. Inc.

"At The Beauty Stop, a woman will enter a fun and educational environment that supports her interest in discovering the highest performance products in the upscale beauty market."

Hailey said that within The Beauty Stop, a shopper may receive instruction in such departments as "hair imaging," "lip printing," and the "five-minute total make-over."

The new operation will introduce Ultima II, a color and treatment line, to JCPenney stores, and will feature products from various Revlon companies.
