Jazz vocalist Pat Blackwell will be the featured guest performer at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band concert tonight.
The free concert begins at 8 p.m. at Capaha Park Bandshell.
Blackwell will sing "Basin Street Blues," "The Nearness of You," and "Mack the Knife."
She will be accompanied by a nine-piece ensemble playing special vocal arrangements from the Jerry Ford Orchestra and written by Bob Sisco.
The celebrity guest conductor for the program will be Associate Circuit Judge Benjamin F. Lewis. Lewis will conduct "Field of Color March."
Other selections on the program include: "Heat Lightning March," "A Classical Overture," "Five to Go," featuring the saxophone section; music of Sinatra, "American Folk Rhapsody No. 1," and selections from the Broadway musical, "Cats."
