Jazz harpist Harvi Griffin will perform at 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at Academic Auditorium.
Griffin, a native of Detroit, has given more than 1,000 concerts throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Griffin has taken a traditional instrument and has applied its haunting beauty to a variety of music. He often combines his rich singing voice with his harp presentation. Griffin is also an accomplished composer.
The performance is presented by the Southeast Missouri State University Cultural Program and the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts.
Tickets are $6 general, $4.50 in blocks of 10 or more and for Arts Council members, and $3 for students. They are on sale at all Boatmen's Bank facilities in Cape Girardeau and Jackson, and the Arts Council office at 100 Broadway.
Tickets are also available by mail by sending a check payable to SEMO Council on the Arts, P.O. Box 901, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63701-0901.
