The Jackson Jaycees Fourth of July celebration and the city's birthday are just around the corner.
Last year, through corporate sponsorship, the Jaycees held what was considered the best fireworks display in the city's history. The Jackson
This year, the Jaycees want to put on a much larger event and hope to raise between $15,000 and $20,000 for the fireworks display.
The cost of fireworks is between $90 and $120 each.
Proceeds are used to pay for the fireworks display and are tax deductible.
