JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Two fired jailers who sued Miller County over alleged sexual harassment have settled their lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.
Debra Tigar and Angela Cannon had sued the county for $2.5 million over alleged sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation.
The case was dismissed Tuesday by a federal district court in Jefferson City. Terms were kept confidential.
The plaintiffs alleged that former jail administrator Charles Thurman made lewd sexual comments and physically harassed them. Thurman was dismissed in 2000 following aninvestigation into complaints filed by the two women.
