The Jackson Police Department is accepting donations of toys and money to assist in its Toys for Tots campaign to help needy children at Christmas. The police department teams up with the Jackson Elks Lodge each year to provide food, toys and clothing for distribution to children from newborn to age 12. Donations may be delivered to the police department any time day or night until Dec. 8.

Perishable items such as hams and bread are purchased from donations and included in the baskets along with clothing collected by the Lady Elks. The lodge will distribute 250 baskets this year.
