JACKSON -- Mark A. Seabaugh of Jackson has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in scouting.
To earn this award, Seabaugh earned 27 merit badges and devoted over 60 hours completing his service project. Seabaugh constructed three bird feeders and three flower boxes at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau.
His project was co-sponsored by AAL Branch 1196 of Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville and St. Paul Lutheran Church of Chaffee.
Seabaugh is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, AAL, and the Lutheran Layman's League.
He has been active in scouting for seven years and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 11. He earned the Arrow of Light in 1986. Seabaugh has served as Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and is currently Senior Patrol Leader.
In 1988 at Camp Lewellen, Seabaugh was tapped out for the Order of the Arrow and is currently a member of the SEMO Council Chapter of the Order of the Arrow.
He is a sophomore at Jackson High School and is the son of Linda and Dennis Seabaugh of Jackson Route 6.
