Jackson youth dies from UTV wreck injuries

Parker King, a 10-year-old Jackson boy who was ejected from an utility vehicle Friday, died from his injuries Wednesday afternoon at a St. Louis hospital, authorities confirmed Thursday.

Parker was hospitalized at St. Louis Children's Hospital, according to Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton. Clifton had yet to receive word late Thursday from the St. Louis medical examiner's office with details about the cause of death, although he was hopeful he would know no later than early next week.

Justice Crosnoe, the 13-year-old boy driving the UTV, apparently lost control of the vehicle while traveling down a hill and it overturned, according to preliminary accident reports. Justice was not injured.

The boys had been riding along Royal Oak Drive in Cape Girardeau County. Neither boy was wearing a helmet.

Parker is the son of James and Robin King, according to his obituary. He was a student at St. Paul Lutheran School.
