A Jackson woman was injured Friday afternoon when she drove through a red light and collided with a dump truck at the U.S. 61 and Highway 177 at Fruitland.

Ashley D. Jones, 25, was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center after she drove her 1995 Oldsmobile through a red light and collided with a dump truck driven by 41-year-old Don C. Bond of Jackson, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 12:42 p.m.

Jones was the only person injured in the accident and wasn't wearing a seat belt. Her vehicle was totaled, and the dump truck had to be towed from the scene.
