The contract allowed 35 calendar days for cleanup, but after working 12-hour shifts daily the contractor completed the cleanup in only seven days.

At 5 p.m. Friday the city will close the storm debris collection point located on North High Street.

Final cleanup of yards in Jackson is the responsibility of residents, city officials said in the news release.
