The city of Jackson will begin roadway restriping and annual mowing projects this month.
Crews will be restriping roads to improve visibility from mid-April through June, weather permitting. Paint will be reapplied to centerlines, stopping bars, turn arrows, parking spaces and crosswalks, according to a news release by Rodney Bollinger, director of public works.
The city will also be beginning annual spring and summer mowing.
"Mowing is an important safety component that adds to the beautification of many Jackson roadsides," Bollinger said in a news release.
Motorists are urged to use caution to allow city workers to safely complete painting and mowing operations.
For more information, call street superintendent Steve Hendrix at 243-8280 or Bollinger at 243-2300.
