Jackson teen Holly Bauer was named first runner-up in Missouri's 2003 Junior Miss competition Saturday evening at Pattonville High School's auditorium in St. Louis.
As first runner-up, Bauer received a $500 cash scholarship. She was also also awarded $250 for being the overall poise winner.
Bauer was one of 10 teenage girls from across Missouri competing for a share of $3,150 in college scholarships at the Junior Miss contest.
Breanne Walton from Kirkwood won the title of Missouri's Junior Miss 2003 and $1,900 in cash scholarships. Walton will go on to compete in the 46th annual America's Junior Miss National Finals, which will be telecast live from Mobile, Ala., on June 28.
