JACKSON -- Jackson students could have extra incentive to graduate from high school if the district's application to become an A+ School is approved.
The school board approved an application to the Missouri A+ Schools program during a meeting Tuesday night. If approved, the grant would provide up to $225,000 annually for three years to improve technology and align the district's curriculum to program standards.
The A+ Schools program is a school-improvement initiative established by the Outstanding Schools Act of 1993 to raise academic standards and introduce students to the teaching profession.
