JACKSON R-II SCHOOL BUS ROUTES

Parents are asked to please teach their elementary students where they will be going after school. Name and address of parents or the daycare center or sitter is absolutely necessary in seeing that these young students get on the right bus after school. It is very helpful to the teachers if this information could be sent to school with your child on the first day. Please help make your child's first day in school a success by sending bus information to their teacher.

Rural Routes

Bus #1, green circle: Bus leaves Transportation Center at 6:30, to Millerville south on county road 351 and return, west on 350 and return to Hwy. 72, west on 72 to 352 and return, west on 72, to Wilsons, turn around, return on 72, making all stops to Millersville at 7:35, receive transfers from bus 5, Marandia Welker, then to schools in Jackson making one stop on Highway 72 at Seabaugh Acres.

Bus #2, blue circle, Wayne Kisnter: Route begins at 7:00 on 481 at McWilliams, turn around at Godwins and return through Millersville, right on 482 to Highway 72, east on 72, south and east on 346, south on 347 turn around, return west on 72 to Rt. B to Millersville Attendance Center. East on 72 to Lakeview Acres, meet bus 32, Carolyn Stearns, for transfer of students. Bus 32 back to Millersville 2 to Jackson picking up along 72 to 328 then to schools in Jackson. (Country Lane see 32, Molly Robinson.)

Bus #3, brown diamond: Route begins at 7:05 on 620 just off outer road making all stops. Left on Route W picking up all students to Route Y. Left on 614, left on outer road, left on 616, left on Route W to Route Y. Left on Route Y, and stop loading. Left on Hwy 61 N. to Route D, right on D, left on Farmington Road to left on Dallas, make one stop at corner of Dallas & Daisy, left on Daisy, right on W. Adams, and to schools.

Bus #5, red square, Marandia Welker: Leave residence on Route BB at 6:50, left on 483 picking up first student at 6:55, return to east on BB, north on county road 473, west on 472 and return to Rt. BB. North on 471 about 1 mile and return to BB. Left on Rt. B east on 454 about 1 miles and return to south on making all stops on BB. East on 462 about 2 miles and return to Rt. BB to Millersville Attendance Center. Meet bus 1, Dorothy Eldracher for transfer of students. #1 to Jackson Schools.

Bus #6, brown circle, Penny Gerhard: Route begins at 6:45 on County Road 607 making all stops, return to 177, make one stop on 177 at Petzoldts. Left on 605 making all stops, turn around at Ridings, and return to 177. South on 603 through to Rt. Y, right on Rt. Y to right on Rt. W picking up all students on Rt. W to North Elementary. Return on Rt. W to County road 601 picking up all students to Highway 61, making one stop on 61 at Spring Lake Estates and to schools.

Bus #7, black square, Kenny Mirly: Leave residence at 6:35, north on Rt. C to Apple Creek Bridge, turn around, west on 513 to north on 512 to Gihrings. Return on 512, west on 516 to New Wells, west on Rt. CC, right on 514, return to Rt. CC to Highway 61, south on 61 making all stops, west on Rt. E, picking up Walker, and Ruopp students, turn around at Petzoldts. Return south on 61, picking up along 61 to Rt. C. (61 from Rt. C to 177 see Bus 9, Paula Dye.) Meet bus 15, Susan Neumann at North Elementary for transfer of students to Jackson schools.

Bus #8, green heart, Olga Salmon: route beings at Stearns on county road 436, turn around, return to north on 439 to 438 turn around and return, east on FF, picking up all students to Highway 61, then to North Elementary. South on 61, west on Rt. D, south on Farmington Road making all stops to Oak St. West on Oak and stop loading. To schools.

Bus #9, green triangle, Paula Dye: Route begins on county road 433 at Ludwigs at 6:50, on to 434 east on 436, stop at Walters. Turn around at Stovers. Return on 436 to outer road. Stop at apartments, Green twins. Cross FF, north on outer road, east on 533 stop at Newells, Moores, Tamarac Estates, Penrods, at Golightlys at Hwy 61. South on 61, picking up to 541, east on 541 picking up all students. Back to south on 61, pick up Clippard, stop at Noahs Ark, then to trailer court behind Cut-Mart. Return north on 61, east on 177, southeast on Rt. W to North Elementary. Return to 61, not stopping on 61. East into Sunset Hills. See town routes.

Bus #10, brown heart, Wade Hoffman: Route begins on CC at 6:40. Turn around at Schnurbusch and return to New Wells, south on Rt. C to Pocahontas, making all stops, west on 530 to Highway 61, south on 61 to east on pick up in Whispering Heights I, return to 61 and to North Elementary. Meet bus 40, Connie Thompson, for transfer of students to Jackson schools.

Bus #12, orange heart, Sarah Turnbow: Route begins on county road 316 at 7:05. On 316, south on 319 making all stops to Route K. East on Rt. K to Hillcrest Manor, picking up in Hillcrest at Forester and Hillvale and West Forester and South Forester. On Route K to county road 201, left on 201 making all stops and to school in Gordonville, then to Jackson schools not picking up.

Bus #14, blue star, Ester Cook: Route begins on county road 371. Return to Route U, south to west on county road 381, about 3 miles, turn around and return south on Rt. U to east on county road 380, on through to south on Rt. OO. West on 382 to end, turn around, return south on Rt. OO to Burfordville School. Meet bus 27 Stepehn Golden, for transfer of students, 27 to schools in Jackson.

Bus 15, blue square, Susan Neumann: Route begins on county road 553 at 6:35, picking up on 553 to county road 525, making all stops on 525, north on 535 over U.S. Hill, turn around and return to 525 east through Neelys Landing back on 177 making all stops on 177, (except stops between 605 and 607, see 6, Penny Gerhard.) North into Bella Vista Estates, bus will pick up in subdivision return to 177, north on 553, west on 550, south on 549, back to 177 making stops on 177 to Rt. W, then to North Elementary. Meets bus 7, Ken Mirly, for transfer of students, then to schools in Jackson.

Turn around, left on 376 to Denekes, turn around, left on 375, right on OO, right on F, left on Z, right on 233 to Denekes, turn around, return to A, right on 231, left on 222 to Rt. Z, east on Z to Gordonville Attendance Center, then to Jackson, not picking up right on 61, left on Gerald, stopping along Gerald from Highway 61 (Jackson Boulevard) to Rosemund, pick up Gingerbread Daycare and to schools.

Bus #25, brown square, Bobbie Venable: Route begins at 7:10 on Ridge Road at Lacey, picking up on Ridge Road to end at Maupins, turn aorund, back to Ridge Road to left on Oak Hill, picking up all students at Oak Hill and Kidron, left on Bainbridge, picking up all students to I-55 overpass, return to Bainbridge Road to Donna picking up all students to Donna St. Stop loading and to schools. This route is reversed in PM.

Bus #27, red diamond, Stephen Golden: Route begins at county road 349 at 6:50. Turn around, back to Highway 34, left on 360, left on 361, right on 362, turn around on 362, left on 363, left on 361, right on 360, left on Hwy. 34, right on 370, return to 34, past Gravel approximately 1 mile. Turn around, return on 34 to Burfordville Attendance Center. Meet bus 14 for transfer of students. Then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #29, white heart, Judy McCormick: Leave transportation Center at 6:55. Route begins at county road 435, right on FF, right on outer road picking up at Mulberry Court and Weiss Court, south on Highway 61, stopping between Spring Lake and Route Y (Spring Lake see 6), left on Route Y, right on Greensferry Road. Pick up on Greensferry from Route Y to Francis Drive (Clover Hill see 4). Go through Sunset Hills not picking up (Sunset see bus 9) left on 61, right on Route D to left on Strawberry Lane subdivision. Right on Nell Green, right on Pecan, left on Connie, left on Nell Green, right on Pecan, left on Connie, left on Strawberry back out to left on Route D and to schools.

Bus 30, black triangle, Jonathan Vorce: Leave Transportation Center at 7:00. Highway 61 East to 4-way stop at Lexington, left on Lexington, left on Route W right on 621 to Lamplighter Trailer Court. Turn around, back to right on 61 to Jackson. Right on Shawnee stopping at Parkwood Circle and at 416 S. Shawnee St. Left on Main to Next Generation. Then to schools. Route is reversed in PM.

Bus #31, white triangle, Molly Robinson: Route begins at 6:50 on UU at Haynes Chapel, north approximately 1 1/2 miles on 354, return to west on 356, return to UU, west on county line, turn around, back to Highway 34 and Burfordville School. Back to 34 picking up to 347, north to 347 about one mile, return to 34, south on 343, turn around, east on 34, right on 328, Country Lane, south on 341 about 1 miles, turn around, return to east on Hwy. 34, south on 341 about 1 mile, return to 34/72. Bus #32, black circle, Carolyn Stearns: Route begins at 7:15 on county road 468 at Aufdenbergs, east on 468, south on 465 to Highway 72, pick up, meet bus 2 Wayne Kistner in Lakeview Acres for transfer of students. West on 72 picking up all students for Millersville-Burfordville Schools.

Bus #33, blue circle, W.L. Voges: Leave Transportation Center at 7:00, south on PP, right on 324, right on 327, left on Z to Gordonville, left on 325 (road behind Jackson Implement) right on Highway 25, right on Z to Gordonville Attendance Center. Return north on 25, picking up all students living on Highway 25 for schools in Jackson. This route reversed in PM.

Bus #35, green diamond, Herb Lichtenegger: Route begins at 7:00 on county road 318, east on 314, north on 313 to Crystal Springs. On through to left on Highway 61 E. Left on Greenway around to Tendercare Daycare Center. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #37, blue diamond, Doug Golden: Leave Transportation Center at 7:00, south on Hwy. 25, east on 316 to Oak Grove School. South on 318 to Route K, east on Route K to Parkwood Lake Estates, picking up all students in Parkwood. West on Route K, left into Hillcrest Manor making one stop at Greenbriar and West Forestor, left on Route K picking up all students to Hwy. 25. Off load at Gordonville Attendance Center. Return north on 25 to Grandview Acres. Circle subdivision, stop loading and to schools in Jackson.

Bus #38, brown diamond, Cindy Roach: Leave Transportation Center at 6:30, route begins on county road 226 at Nussbaum, left on 227, right on Route A, left on 231 to Bests, turn around, back to Rt. A, left on Highway 25 picking up all students on Highway 25, left on 214, turn around, back to right on Highway 25, left on 228, turn around, back to 25 picking up to Rt. Z. Left into Shady Brook. This bus will make only three stops in this subdivision, return left on Highway 25, left on Rt. Z to Gordonville Attendance Center. Back to north on 25, left on 34, right on Farmington Road, left on Dallas, stop at Kiddie Kollege Daycare for daycare students only. Other students living on Dallas see bus 28, Dwayne Hanners.

Bus #40, purple circle: Leave residence in Pocahontas, east on county road 532, south on 543, turn around, return east on 532, around New Bethel Church to Erlbachers, return to church, east on 525, south on 553 picking up all students, west on 544, south on 543, west on 177, south on Rt. W to North Elementary, to offload, south on Highway 61 to schools in Jackson.

Bus #43, purple triangle, Allen Leech: Route begins on Route Y, just east on Rt. W picking up first student at 7:00. On Route Y, left on 621, Oriole Road, west past Pilot House, picking up students at Pilot House, on Rt. W, not picking up, to Rt. W Trailer Park, enter park and make one stop at first block. Return north on Route W, stop at county road 618, then west on 618 picking up all students to I-55 overpass. Left on Bainbridge Road from I-55 overpass to Donna St. (see bus 25, Bobbie Venable.)
