JACKSON NOON OPTIMISTS CHILI DAY SET

JACKSON -- The Jackson Noon Optimist Club will hold its sixth annual Chili Day Oct. 10, at the St. Paul Lutheran Fellowship Hall in Jackson.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the evening meal will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tickets may be obtained in advance from Optimist club members or may be purchased at the door. Tickets are $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under age 12.

All proceeds fund youth activities that include Safety City USA, Kids' Day in the Park, scholarships, flag football, girls basketball clinic and Youth Appreciation Week. More than 1,300 children have received free bicycle helmets and safety information through the Safety City USA program.
