JACKSON MUNICIPAL BAND TO PERFORM ON THURSDAY NIGHT

JACKSON -- The Jackson Municipal Band will hold its weekly concert Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Band Shell in the city park.

Special guests for this concert will be Bob and Geneva King. Bob is known as one of Southeast Missouri's finest country fiddlers.

Geneva has been accompanying him on the keyboard for nearly 50 years.

The band, under the baton of guest conductor Pat Schwent, will play "A Touch of Country," "The Golden Year," a collection of rock-n-roll songs from the 1950s and more.

Admission is free to the outdoor concert.
