The city of Jackson will discuss Monday night whether to pave a section of Old Cape Road during its board of aldermen meeting.
The stretch of gravel road, roughly 900 feet, is just south of Gloria Street.
The city has tried to pave the section in previous years, but the project was shelved when city officials and the property owners near the road were unable to reach an agreement about how the project should be completed and who should fund it.
City staff will make a formal recommendation to the board. If the board decides to move forward with the project, the roadway will be incorporated into the city’s asphalt-improvement project.
Jackson’s board of aldermen meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month at city hall.
