FRUITLAND - A Jackson woman and man were injured Sunday during a four-car accident on Highway 61, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash reports Web page.
The accident occurred around 9:10 a.m. when a 1996 Ford driven by Donald G. Reisenbichler, 58, of Jackson was traveling northbound on Highway 61 when he made a left hand turn into the path of a 2006 Toyota, driven by Roy L. Glass, 76, of Jackson. Reisenbichler ran off the roadway and struck two parked vehicles driven by two unidentified drivers from Fruitland.
Glass and Iverne Glass, 76, of Jackson, suffered moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Vehicles driven by Reisenbichler and Glass were totaled, while the other two cars sustained minor damage. Reisenbichler was issued a citation for failure to yield.
