JACKSON MAN WINS $10,000 ON-LINE

Jeff Kennett of Jackson won the daily $10,000 giveaway from iWon.com, a CBS-backed destination Internet portal, last week.

Kennett, a Southeast Missouri State University graduate and restaurant manager, was on the phone with his wife Missy when the call came in.

"When I told my wife, she started saying, 'whatwhatwhatwhat?' and I said, 'I won ten-' and before I could get it out she said, 'You won ten WHAT?' She was excited.

"We're going to have a great Christmas!"

Kennett listed Christmas shopping, paying bills, saving and upgrading his computer as what he will do with the money.

He called his hobbies "Everything my kids do and my computer." He and his wife have three sons, Jeff Jr., Jacob and Joshua, as well as four cats.

Kennett said he has won $50 before in the lottery, but "nothing major" until now.

Kennett is also eligible to win iWon.com's $1 monthly giveaway and the $10 million Tax Day Giveaway on April 17. He is iWon.com's 63rd $10,000 daily winner and the second from Missouri.

iWon.com, which is similar in concept to Yahoo!, Excite, Lycos and other Internet portals, is giving away $10,000 daily to iWon.com users. Users generate entries by checking e-mail, searching the web or shopping on-line. iWon.com's URL is www.iwon.com.
