Jackson man dies in Saturday morning motorcycle accident
A Jackson man died Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash near Fruitland. Erik M. Marshall, 31, was traveling east on Highway 177 on a 2002 Suzuki Katana motorcycle when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Bella Vista Drive at 7:34 a.m. Saturday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Erik M. Marshall, 31, was traveling east on Bella Vista Driver on a 2002 Suzuki Katana motorcycle when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 177 at 7:34 a.m. Saturday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He ran into the side of a 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup truck driven by Sandra K. Motley, 40, of Jackson.
Marshall was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:17 a.m.
