JACKSON MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH

FRUITLAND -- A Cape Girardeau County man died early Tuesday, when the motorcycle he was operating crashed into the rear end of a car on I-55, just south of the Fruitland interchange.

Joseph Cundall, 20, of Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene at about 1 a.m.

Two other persons received minor injuries.

Missouri Highway Patrol investigators said Cundall was traveling northbound on I-55 at a high rate of speed when his 1989 Yamaha motorcycle struck the rear end of a car driven north by Vidal Castandeda, 18, of Ocean Springs, Miss.

The motorcycle then struck another northbound car driven by Marie Sanchez, 33, of Ocean Springs, Miss.

Sanchez, and a passenger in her car, Jamie Sanchez, 15, were treated for minor injuries at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
