"There's 2001 Places to Go" this summer at the Jackson Public Library at 100 N. Missouri St.

Children who are preschool to fifth-grade may sign up for the Missouri Summer Reading Program.

By signing up, children can earn prizes while celebrating reading from June 6 through Aug. 4.

Also, it's almost Summer Storytime for children to join staff members at 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning June 6 and ending Aug. 1. The program will be held in the third-floor community room.

Specific dates will be June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25 and Aug. 1.

Activities, special guests and great readings are planned.

Register in person; adults must stay with children younger than 5.
