The Fourth of July is just a couple of weeks away and the Jackson Jaycees are making final preparations for the 9th annual Fourth of July Celebration in the Jackson City Park.
The celebration is held to honor our nation's Independence and Jackson's 183rd birthday.
Many events are scheduled throughout the day including a fun run/walk, horseshoe tournament, games and events for kids including a tractor pedal pull and a municipal band concert.
Other all day events include a car and truck show, craft show and mud volleyball. You can enter the car show that morning at 9 a.m. to noon. Judging will begin at 12:30 p.m.
To obtain an application for a booth in the craft show or an entry form for mud volleyball contact Rick Saupe at 243-7567.
To end the day the Jackson Jaycees Fireworks Display will begin at 9:30 p.m.
