Jackson should prepare for a scare in the coming days with the opening of the Jackson Jaycees' annual haunted house.
"Nightmare Manor" is the name of this year's house, located on Old Toll Road just off Highway 72. The annual fundraiser has been sponsored by the local chapter for many years and opened Friday evening
According to Jaycee President Wanda Lorenz, members of the local organization began work in July to ready the haunted house for visitors.
These preparations included totally remodeling the floor plan of the site.
The haunted house will be open again next weekend and on the evenings of Oct 27-31. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. nightly.
The house is located on Old Toll Road just off Highway 72. Signs will guide visitors to the site.
Admission to the haunted house is $4 for those 12 and older. Admission for children under 12 is $3.
Lorenz said proceeds from the haunted house fund Jaycee programs sponsored throughout the year.
Advance tickets are available at Rhodes 101 Stop in Jackson.
