JACKSON -- Carrie Heise of Jackson has been selected as a candidate of the 1992 Miss Teen of Missouri pageant to be held in Jefferson City July 16-18.

She will be judged on personality, poise, scholastic record and personal development.

The winner of the state pageant will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the school of her choice. The national Miss Teen winner will receive at $10,000 scholarship.

Heise, 15, is an honor student at R.O. Hawkins Junior High School, and a member of the honors band. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A Cadette Girl Scout, she recently earned the Silver Award. Heise plays soccer and has participated in the Show Me State Games. She also referees soccer games.

She is the daughter of Wayne and Kathy Heise of Jackson
