JACKSON -- A Jackson student will receive the America FFA Degree, FFA's highest degree, at the 64th national FFA convention in November in Kansas City.
Earning the award is Stephanie Gable, Star Route, who is a member of the Jackson FFA Chapter at Jackson High School.
The Missouri FFA has nominated 119 members to receive the American FFA degree. Of the 382,643 national FFA members, only 1,086 have qualified for the degree in 1991.
The American FFA degree is based on demonstrated leadership ability and outstanding achievements in agriculture production, processing or service programs.
To receive the degree, members must have earned $7,500 through a supervised agriculture experience program and must have productively invested those earnings back into their enterprise.
