Jackson police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Taco Bell employee at gunpoint Friday.

Jackson police responded to Taco Bell on East Jackson Boulevard Friday morning in response to a report of an armed robber, the department reported in a news release.

An employee of the business told police that while he was going outside to the Dumpster area, a white man wearing a blue North Carolina hooded sweatshirt, blue pants and a green cap brandished a firearm and took his wallet.

The armed robber was also described as having his face covered with a "mesh-like covering," and stood about 5-foot-11 and was of medium build and had a goatee, the release said. The suspect reportedly fled west on foot behind several businesses.

Jackson police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw someone matching that description to call the department at 243-3151.
