JACKSON CHRISTMAS PARADE BEING PLANNED

JACKSON - Jackson High School Band and Municipal Band Director Nick Leist will serve as parade marshal of this year's Jackson Jaycee Christmas Parade. The parade will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

This theme of this year's Christmas Parade is "A Musical Christmas." The Jackson Jaycees invite individuals and organizations to participate, and floats, groups, and individual units are welcome. Prizes will be awarded for the best floats.

Leist has taught at the Jackson School District for the past 24 years. He also has taught two years at Hayti and a year at Advance.

He earned a master's degree in music education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
