Educators with a combined 85-plus years of experience were chosen for the 2005 Jackson Chamber of Commerce's Educators of the Year award.
David Gross, Sharlett Eftink, Becky Riney and Nancy Seyer will be honored for their work in education at a banquet April 21 in Jackson.
Gross, who is principal at North Elementary in Fruitland, has 25 years' experience in education, nine as a principal. He taught physical education in Jackson for seven years and nine years in other districts.
Eftink has been a teacher for 22 years. She teaches health and communication arts at R.O. Hawkins Junior High, where she has worked for nine years.
Riney teaches business education and college prep at Jackson High School, where she has worked for 22 years. She is the sponsor for the high school's Future Business Leaders of America organization.
Seyer is a first-grade teacher at Immaculate Conception School, where she has worked for 17 years. She received received her master's degree from Webster University.
