The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band officially begins its summer series of outdoor concerts today in the Capaha Park band shell. The free concert features the "Stars and Bars March," "Chorale and Shaker Dance," "America, the Beautiful" and selections from the musical "Cats." Ronald Nall will direct the band for the concert, which will be from 8 to 9 p.m. No guest director is scheduled at this time. The Jackson Municipal Band will play at 8 p.m. Thursday in Jackson City Park.
