Jackson, Cape announce Labor Day trash schedules

Jackson and Cape Girardeau will alter their trash-collection schedules in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

The Jackson Sanitation Department will not be operating Sept. 2. Garbage that would normally be collected that day will be picked up Sept. 3. The Recycling Center, 508 Eastview Court, will be closed Sept. 2.

In Cape Girardeau, the trash and recycling route that would normally run Sept. 2, will run Sept. 3. Tuesday's trash and recycling route will be run Wednesday. All other routes will remain unchanged. The Recycling Center, 2007 Southern Expressway, will be closed Sept. 2.
