The Jackson School Board at its Tuesday meeting approved the district's summer-school program.
First- through fifth-grade students will attend summer-school courses from 8 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. June 4 through 25,
Kindergarten students will have half-day sessions from June 8 through 19 and will be assigned a morning session or an afternoon session after enrollment.
Each grade level will have space-themed activities. Enrollment forms are available at the student's school building.
The board also approved a guidance counseling program evaluation and recognized math competition winners, Duke TIP students, elementary art students, speech and debate students and all-academic softball members.
