Jackson Board of Aldermen action

Action items

* Set a public hearing for May 16 to discuss the city's submission of an application for a Community Development Block Grant.

* Authorized a contractual agreement with the Cape Girardeau Area MAGNET board.

* Accepted a construction deed from David Mitchell Kinder for the Elwanda Drive sewer project.

* Approved change order to Donze Construction Inc. for $1,633 for the East Independence Street service vehicle utility bridge project.

* Accepted a storm water easement deed from Diamond K Development LLC

* Appointed Ron Obermann and Marvin Adams Jr. to the planning & zoning board; and Corey Bullard to the community outreach board; reappointed Tom Anderson, Tina Weber and Carmen Simpher to the park board; Bill Engel to the board of adjustment, Kerry Hoffman and Val Tuschhoff to the street committee, Bill Duck, Dolly Dambach and Pat Abernathy to the library board; and Marco Otten, Judy Statler, Desma Reno and Mark Tidwell to the community outreach board.

* Reappointed the city clerk, municipal judge, alternate municipal judge, city attorney and chief of police.
