Jackson Board of Aldermen action 12/7/04

Approved a motion changing the regular board meeting date to Jan. 18 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Approved a change order to B.W. Birk and Associates for a $17,354.22 increase to the contract amount, in reference to the Water Treatment Plant No. 1 high-service pumps replacement.

Approved a motion to appoint alderwoman Barbara Lohr to serve as a replacement as the city's representative on the Cape Girardeau Area Magnet Board of Directors for a one-year term beginning Jan. 1.

Approved motion to appoint Andrew Hancock to the planning and zoning commission.

Approved a resolution accepting the voluntary annexation petition for 60.3 acres of property along South Hope Street as submitted by New McKendree United Methodist Church and setting a public hearing for Jan. 3.

Approved an ordinance regarding operating headlights in the rain.

Approved a motion giving the Missouri Department of Transportation the authority to install 2 3/4-inch asphalt, to the same standards as Route PP, on Dottie Lane and Old Toll Road to allow for truck traffic.
