Jackson Board of Aldermen action 12/16/03

Approved Dec. 26, 2004, as an authorized leave day for city employees.

Changed the regular board of aldermen meeting date from Jan. 19 to Jan. 20 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Set the Jackson Board of Aldermen/Cape Girardeau City Council joint meeting for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Jackson.

Amended the compensation plan for city employees for 2004.

Approved the 2004 annual budget.

Amended Chapter 41 of the Code of Ordinances relative to temporary and permanent electric meter fees.

Authorized a donation of $4,783.95 to the Jackson Jaycees, relative to the 2003 Independence Day fireworks display.

Appointed Larry Hall to serve as a Zoning Board of Adjustment regular member.

Set a public hearing for Tuesday, Jan. 20 to hear public comments relative to possible one-way traffic flow and parking modifications on South High Street.

Approved the rezoning of 7.59 acres of property on Indian Parkway, from R-1 (single-family residential) to R-3 (general residential), as submitted by Diamand K Development.

Approved the rezoning of 701 and 709 E. Main Street from R-3 to O-1 (professional office), as submitted by the City of Jackson.

Set a public hearing for Tuesday, Jan. 20 to consider the rezoning of lots 10A and 10B of Kimbeland subdivision, from R-2 (single-family residential) to R-3, as submitted by Stan Williams.
