Power and Light Committee
* Voted to waive the clean-up fees, in the amount of $2,092.18, to the American Legion Post 158, relative to the 2005 Homecomers Celebration.
* Voted to set Fall Clean-Up/Fix-Up Days for Oct. 10 through 14.
* Approved the authorizing and recording the disposal of certain records that had met their retention schedule, under RSMo 109.230, Subsection 4.
* Approved a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with MidSouth Utility Consultants LLC, of Bartlett, Tenn., relative to providing engineering services under the Master Services Agreement for Professional Engineering Services.
* Approved a Task Order Authorization No. 05-18, in the amount of $7,800, to Mid South Utility Consultants LLC, of Bartlett, Tenn., relative to providing engineering services under the Power Plant Cooling Tower Replacement Project.
Street Committee
* Approved authorizing the closure of Court Street, from West Main Street to West Washington Street, on Oct. 8 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., for a customer appreciation day celebration, as requested by Jones Drug Store.
* Approved a bill proposing an ordinance approving the voluntary annexation of 36.76 acres of property along Harmony Lane and Zschille Road (known as the future Terrace Park Estates Subdivision), as submitted by Donkers Inc.
* Approved a five percent beer by drink license for N.J. Santi Inc., d/b/a Jay's Smokehouse, at 1830 E. Jackson Blvd.
* Approved a bill proposing an ordinance amending the 'handicapped parking designated schedule -- schedule XVII' by adding a handicapped parking space at 320 S. High St.
* Approved a request by Shirley Lewis and Jim Eakes to use outdoor loud speakers for a wedding reception at 803 Francis Drive between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Sept. 17.
Executive session
* A motion was made to have executive session to discuss litigation, personnel and purchase of property.
