-- Authorized extension of contractual agreement with Eastern Missouri Industries, Inc., relative to burying and placement of underground duct and/or electrical conductors.
-- Approved an ordinance accepting dedication of easements from Kenneth E. and Elwanda M. Seabaugh, Midwest Cable Splicing, Inc., and Jerrel F. and Patricia B. Busey, for construction, maintenance and repair fo sewer lines (tabled at 8-17) meeting).
-- Accepted the proposal of Burns & McDonnell to conduct a city water distribution and supply study.
-- Approved an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with Burns & McDonnell relative to a city water distribution and supply study and other engineering services as needed.
-- Authorized semi-annual payment of $5,000 to the Chamber of Commerce for services rendered under existing Tourism Contract and extending contract through June 30, 1999.
-- Granted Immaculate Conception School permission to use loud speaker for a school function between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sept. 19.
-- Approved an ordinance enlarging the boundaries of Sewer District 2A-50.
-- Approved Pay Request #3 to KAJACS Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $26,169.84 under the Phase VI Water Project (Jackson Trail to Grandview Acres) Contract.
Street Committee
-- Set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, to consider amendments to the zoning regulation of the city.
-- Passed an ordinance approving the minor subdivision plat of Victorian Plaza Subdivision No. 3 as submitted by Mid-America Hotels Corporation.
-- Authorized closure of Donna Lynn Drive between Greensferry Road and Oakwood on Sept. 26, 1998, between 4 p.m. and midnight for a block party.
-- Approved an ordinance amending the "Parking Prohibited at Certain Times on Certain Streets" schedule to include parking restrictions on South Missouri Street.
-- Authorized city attorney to retain co-counsel/assistant city attorney to assist with legal work relative to proposed Interstate 55/Main Street interchange.
-- Approved the first reading of an ordinance vacating a right of way for Upper Old Cape Road.
